TNYC 2002 Racing Schedule

All races start at 10:00am, with the Skippers' meeting on the wharf at 09:30AM.

All boats will keep their own time.

June 22	Margaritas Calling	Not the band, just the drink. Another in the Race Committee’s undying efforts to make racing sociable. White sail, start at Holyrood 11:00 am, race to the marina in Bay Roberts, make your way to Jungle Jim’s, eat, drink, tell lies.
July 7	Terra Nova Triangle	The first of the Sunday morning race season for the summer. Skipper’s meeting at 09:30AM, start at 10:00AM. A simple triangular course in the arm. All boats will keep their own time.
Aug 3-4	Newfoundland Keelboat Championships	Likely the largest races for the season in Holyrood Bay. Lots of competition from RNYC. Skippers meeting and start times to be announced.
Aug 18	Holyrood Cup	Your chance to get your boats name on the silverware in those great August winds. Skippers meeting at 9:30am, start at 10:00am. All boats will keep their own time.
Aug 25	Commodore’s Cup	The venerable trophy donated by P. Derrick Bowring, symbolizes triumph in this race. Expect that the course will include a turn around the island in Harbour Main. Skipper’s meeting at 9:30am, start at 10:00am. All boats will keep their own time.
Sept 8	Mate’s Mug	The traditional opportunity for your second in command to take charge of the vessel and go for the mug. This year we will try the old system which demands that the regular skipper leave his or her vessel and crew with another. Skipper’s meeting at 9:30am, start at 10:00am. A simple triangular course in the arm. All boats will keep their own time.
