TNYC 2008 Season Schedule of Events

Every Sunday

 On Sundays, after a weekend of sailing, members are encouraged to stay at the marina for a BBQ supper.  All members would provide their own food and refreshments.

Annual Lobster Boil and BBQ at the Clubhouse - The Terra Nova Yacht Club would also like to invite HMPC members and their guest to our annual lobster boil/barbecue which will take place at our clubhouse in Holyrood on Saturday, May 24 at 4:00. Cost of the event is:

Lobster Dinner: $20 per person
Steak Dinner: $15 per person
Lobsters, steaks & side dishes will be purchased by TNYC Social Committee.
 

Please bring your own beverages.

If you plan to attend, please contact me by e-mail or phone (895-3137) by Monday evening, May 19. (I have to place orders for steaks and lobsters on Tuesday.) Please understand that once the order has been placed, cancellations will not be permitted since payment will still be required.

July 5

Pirates Day.  Members and guests dress as pirates, sail to beach (to be determined), have BBQ and corn boil.  Bring water guns and participate in dinghy races, etc.

July 18

 Light up the Harbour as part of Holyrood’s "Come Home Year" celebrations.  We’ll light up and decorate boats and marina to display a festive look.

July 19

TNYC sponsored "public" pancake breakfast, as part of the Holyrood summer celebrations.  The breakfast is FREE, however, we would appreciate a donation of a food item for the local food bank.

July 19

 BBQ for TNYC members and guests at club house.  Bring your own food and refreshments.

July 20

"Pirates Come Ashore" as part of the Holyrood 'Come Home Year' summer celebrations.  Boaters will dress as pirates, sail or motor to and anchor off beach in Holyrood, dinghy to beach and provide treats for children.

August 15

 Commodore’s Wine and Cheese.

August 23 or 24

 Boat Flotilla.  Part of Holyrood’s 'Come Home Year' celebrations.  Boats from all over are encouraged to sail or motor into Holyrood Bay.

Labour Day Weekend

 Jigs dinner... with  details to be announced.

Sept 20

 Annual Run for Chips (ARC).  It will start from Holyrood at 0930 hrs and we will go to Bay Roberts for chips, stay overnight and return to Holyrood on Sunday.

November

 End-of-season POT LUCK dinner and movie premiere.  Firm date to be announced.
