Try Racing: Members interested in getting a taste of racing should contact Randy Earle of the Race Committee (834-3820).  A fun race is planned for Saturday 25 Sept, if there's interest.  Sail as part of a racing crew and find out what it is they do out there, swearing at each other off the beach.  A social to brag about your new-found racing prowess will follow at The Beach Cottage.

Lift-Out: October 16 0730 start.
It's that time of year again.  Cradles are expected to be at the club the weekend of October 2 for work.  Bob Kelly is the lift master of the day itself.  Please be out early to help the annual migration on the beach go smoothly.

For a Safe Lift: Remember we've got heavy expensive weights being swung around by heavy equipment.  Your executive asks you to keep safety first.

*Nobody to be aboard a boat as it's lifted.
*Hard hats and appropriate footwear for lift crew.
*Owner or delegate to be on hand when boat is lifted.  (We will move boats left on cradles and in the way whether owner or delegate is present or not.)

Coming Events:
* Halloween Party:  1930h, October 30.  Bring finger food and come in costume.
* Fall General Meeting:  1430h, November 21.  Contact your executive with agenda items.  A potluck supper will follow the meeting.
* Christmas Dinner and Dance:  December 04 Place your food orders at lift-out.

Thank You Note:
If you had trouble recognizing your old clubhouse in the last month or so, it's because volunteers have been at work with brush and scraper, painting it.  The organizers of this massive undertaking will have more to say about the individuals involved, but to all who helped, from the executive and membership **THANKS**
